The Daily Record has an article about Harry visiting Ellis.
And as a tired-looking Ellis walked to class with pals, she said of Harry: “We’re good friends from school. It was great to catch up with him.”
But a friend was quick to deny rumours of a romance between Ellis and Britain’s most eligible bachelor. He said: “They’re just friends.
“It wasn’t a party at the flat. He just came round.”
Harry, who broke up with singer Taylor Swift earlier this month, flew into Scotland from an awards ceremony in France to meet Ellis, who’s doing a business course at Glasgow University.
The friends, who grew up together in Cheshire, went to Pizza Hut on Argyle Street before heading to the Cineworld multiplex to see comedy Movie 43.
Staff smuggled Harry and Ellis out through a side door and they went back to her flat at around 10pm.
But Harry, 18, had to leave and return to his hotel when crowds started gathering outside.
A girl who lives at the halls of residence said: “There were a lot of people. A lot of families even came down with little girls in their cars and were asking us where he was.”
Another student added: “It was crazy. It spread really quickly across Facebook and Twitter. People were taking photos.”
Harry and Ellis were also pictured together in Manchester last year, taking a spin in his £90,000 Audi R8 coupe, and Ellis has posted photos online of her giving her pal a kiss.
But after the Manchester day out, she was quick to deny any love interest. She wrote online: “Me and Harry went for coffee together as we haven’t seen each other since last year!
“We’re only good friends and have been since high school. You can stop spreading rumours about me and Harry dating each other because we absolutely are not!”
Ellis describes herself as a “maths enthusiast and occasional sportswoman”. She works in a bar and plays hockey for the university.
She told her 16,000 Twitter followers yesterday: “I have the best friends, no question.”
She’s also gorgeous! A maths enthusiast? Beauty and brains. Swoon. Good thing I have a girlfriend.

My new favorite tabloid buzz word is “crisis talks“. Those seem more appropriate for political discussions about sequestration than the Zerrie cheating scandal. The tabloids are getting cutesy with 1D song titles and lyrics. One was commenting last night on “if we get together, don’t let the pictures leave your phone” and TV NZ says:

Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik have spent all night in her hotel room patching things up.
The Little Mix singer appears to have forgiven her shamed One Direction beau after allegations he cheated on her with Australian waitress Courtney ‘CJ’ Webb.
The boy-band hunk is reported to have stayed over in her luxury suite in Nottingham, where her girl-band was performing.
“Things are far from over between Zayn and Perrie. He came and stayed in the Little Mix hotel, where Perrie was booked in with her bandmates,” a source told The Sun newspaper.
“Everybody gave them their space. They needed to talk things through before Perrie went on stage in front of a crowd.”
After what was initially thought to be a brief showdown, it has emerged the couple spent the whole night together, with Zayn appearing bleary-eyed on Monday morning.
Speaking just before the show at Concert Hall last night, Perrie, 19, insisted: “I’m totally fine, I’m good. I’m looking forward to the show, this is going to be the best night.”
Following the allegations, the star’s pals have reportedly been urging her to call time on her one-year romance with Zayn and find someone who treats her with “respect”.
A source recently said: “Her friends have been telling her that he’s a rat who will never change his ways.
“They’ve been saying that she’s gorgeous and successful, and should find a man who will treat her with the respect she deserves.”

Ellis was also really cruel to Harry when 1D were on X Factor. There are screencaps of her talking shit about him with ex-best friend Will from White Eskimo and some other Holmes Chapel kids on Facebook.
