The “Good Morning America” 2009 Summer Concert Series has moved to Central Park! Central Park opens to the public at 6 a.m. and audience members will be permitted to enter the park starting then. Concerts are free and open to the public. Entrance is on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive at 6 a.m.”Good Morning America” airs live from 7 to 9 a.m., with concert performances usually starting around 8:30 a.m.

Friday, Aug. 7 — David Cook, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert

This morning, at the 12th annual Race for Hope event in Washington, D.C. , David Cook announced that his 36-year-old brother Adam has passed away after a long battle with brain cancer. RadarOnline says:

David was at the airport Saturday night about to leave for Terre Haute to visit his dying  brother, but his family told David they thought it was more important for him to honor a prior commitment to attend the 12th annual Race For Hope in Washington, D.C. Sunday morning.

David followed his family’s wishes and went to Washington instead to participate in the race, so he was not there when his brother passed away.

Because David had known how sick his brother was, he had left his tour a few weeks back to say his goodbyes to his older brother.

“The family thought that Adam would go much sooner than this, actually,” said the Cook family friend.

“That’s why David left his tour a few weeks back so that he could be with Adam. They said their goodbyes then.”

But Adam, 36, rallied briefly after that and David returned to his concert tour.

“He took a turn for the worse this weekend” says the friend.

Last year, friends of the stricken lawyer, arranged a $45,000 trip on a chartered medical jet to Los Angeles so Adam could see David perform on Idol.

It’s really amazing to see David speak to the crowd so soon after his brother’s passing and say there was nowhere else he’d rather be. I admit it. I teared up!

Some montages just don’t make any sense. What motivates someone to make an entire David Cook montage about his teeth? I can understand the montages that focus on the sexy looks or maybe a tour or something…but teeth?

I’m not sure what’s more disturbing – the montage or the fact that there is a song called My Shiny Teeth and Me.

Watch at your own risk. The song, as dorky as it may be, is kind of catchy.

For how a montage really should be done, check out David Cook’s 2000 Kissable Places montage below. Apparently, 1376 of them are somewhere in his crotch area. No wonder he’s afraid of his fans.

There are fans and then there are super psycho crazy fucks like the ones who made the video above. David Cook posted a blog to address the latter:

“I have to address some behavior that has become disturbing. We pride ourselves on being accessible to you as fans, but in contrast, we do enjoy what little privacy we can muster. To that end, the efforts by some fans to find our hotel rooms, call our hotel rooms, attach things to our bus, etc., is something I have to condemn. This relationship only works when it remains healthy for both parties, and should this behavior continue, the only thing we can do is take more preventative measures to maintain our privacy, which in turn makes us less accessible to you.

I hope this doesn’t come off as harsh. I merely want to nip this in the bud so we can continue to have a great experience with all of you at the shows we have coming up. Take care and see you at the next show.”

And by see you, he means from the protective shield of his tour bus, security team, and a cattle prod for good measure.
