Monte’s been answering questions on Twitter about how he met Adam, and whether they’d ever release Citizen Vein music.

Monterrific: I must be in a nostalgic mood today. I just found a 14 song Citizen Vein demo on cd and popped it in.

At first, I asked Allan Louis who he thought was the best singer in LA because I think the “Zodiac/Club Makeup” singers are the best in the world. I told him I was starting a band and wanted the best singer. He told me about Adam. I kept trying to find him and @leecherry had him in to do the Zodiac show.

Adam and I were like “hey, I think you’re the guy everyone’s been telling me about”

That was the beginning

@lisa_pittman just reminded me that show was at a private party and we did a Zodiac type show and opened for Kiss of all people

When someone mentioned that their fave Citizen Vein song is The Circle, and that they love Glamorize, Monte replied:

he did Glamorize all by himself. Music, production, everything. I guess we have more than 23 songs then…
The 23 song demo was never completed. Some were still instrumentals that would have been the second album.
we gave a bunch of those out too. So they are floating around somewhere
the Jaws and Friday The 13th samples in between the songs were awesome.

He doubts RCA would back it or let it come out, and says “I would rather re-record it.”

He mentions that he was “JUST talking to Adam about doing a harmony solo like Hetfield and Hammett” (of Metallica)

There is one called “Pulls Me Away” that I absolutely love. The song keeps building and the parts don’t repeat.
Kind of like something from Jesus Christ Superstar. [JC! Did you hear that?]

One of the “ideas” for the Vein was that we all had different groups but came together for that band.
Adam having his solo stuff, me having my solo stuff, Tommy (@prongmusic) having Prong. And of course Steve having Dram
