Mayjah Dramaz: Bowersox still illin
RT @rickey: Cyrstal Bowersox may be disqualified due to illness. No one knows if she can perform tonight. http://bit.ly/cZE9WI (<–NOOOOO!!)
At first, I was like, well, the source is Rickey – take with a grain of salt! But the NY Times is reporting it too!
This is just so sad
Idol hopeful Angela Martin just can’t get a break. She auditioned for Idol in hopes of making a better life for her daughter who has Rett Syndrome. In 2007, she made it to Hollywood only to find out her dad had been murdered. In 2008, she made it to the top 50, but had to leave to settle a traffic ticket. This year, she got a golden ticket to Hollywood again…but now her mom went missing after Christmas and hasn’t been seen since. They found her mom’s car in a strange neighborhood. This just doesn’t look good. From People:
Angela describes her mom as 5-ft. tall, about 165 lbs., light-skinned and with blond and brown hair. “My mom’s a very outgoing person,” she says. “She loves people, period, and she loves kids. When people see her, they just need to say, ‘You need to call your kids,’ and she would probably break down and you will know it’s her right off the bat.”
While her family continues to search for her mom and care for her daughter Jessica back in Chicago, Martin continues her quest to be the next American Idol. “The mothers, the other contestants, everyone has really, really held me up,” she says. “They have told me they are praying for me. I mean, the mothers of the contestants that I’m in a competition with have been really supportive. I thank God today because I kind of lost it a lot, seeing the mothers and fathers here, but I’m pretty tough.”
She adds, “Music heals my soul and it heals my heart and I tell everyone, I have a Band-Aid on my heart right now and I don’t know if it is going to fall off soon, but it’s keeping me whole and it’s my music.”
Well, that sucks for him
I’d heard that this guy was one of the faves too! From People:
Michael Lynche (a.k.a. Big Mike) was reportedly told to pack his bags after his father revealed to his local Florida paper, The St. Petersburg Times, that Michael had made the top 24 — a violation of Idol rules requiring the singers and their families to keep the Hollywood week results quiet until they’re broadcast.
The New York Post, citing Idol spoiler site Joe’s Place, says Michael was replaced in the top 24 over the weekend. FOX has declined to comment on the report.
Do you think it’s fair to kick him out for something his father did?
Speaking of Idol, here’s a better video of HP singing the anthem. Just don’t read the comments. This is like the 3rd time today I’ve been to a blog that is full of comments like this (one of which was a gay blog that had been heavily commented on by obviously not gay, Lambert loving fans). I know people get the google alerts and run off to see what was said on this blog or that, but do these people have to comment EVERYTHING? It’s like swarm, swarm, swarm! Who are these people? Can anyone think of another singer who’s fans do this? Do I just not see other singers’ obsessive fan comments because I’m not looking for them? IMO, it really is going to tarnish Adam’s rep eventually because it’s annoying as hell.
NEW PROMO
ANOTHER IDOL PROMO(ALMOST TYPED “PORNO” WOAH. HEH HEH) FEATURING ADAM’S “AFTERMATH”
I HOPE THEY DON’T PLAN ON THIS BEING A SINGLE. IT’S AIGHT DAWG, BUT FOR ME FOR YOU FOR ME…………NO.
JUST SAW THIS IS FROM FINLAND. WUT. HAA. THEY HAVE TV’S IN FINLAND? KIDDING. KIDDING.
Recap from People Who Spent Time with the Idols During the Tour

Heather’s friend, Sherrie and Sherrie’s son, Jon, spent almost 12 hours backstage with the Idols in Portland, Maine. I’m posting some of her recap here (the rest you may have already read in the forum). Sherrie and Jon even had dinner with them!
I guess that the best way to describe our experience was surreal. Ray, Adam’s handler came and met us in the early afternoon and took us to meet all of the Idols minus Kris (he was pretty sick during this whole time, but we got to meet him after the concert). We got a chance to chat with all of them briefly and we got our pictures signed. We figured that we were lucky to get that much time with them by ourselves, but then a photographer came in and took the two pictures of all of us. We were overjoyed to get these, so again, we thought we were ready to leave before the concert started, but Ray asked us to stay in the green room and to have dinner with them. It was during this time that we had some serious one on one time with some of the nicest and most genuine group of young people I’ve ever met.
[I'm not including the summary of each of the idols that she did but it's in the forum if you want to know what she wrote.]
A funny thing about the green room and the food table is that at the end, instead of the desert tray, there was a table of vitamins and cold preparations. It was so funny looking that I took a picture of it, and I will post it when I get a chance.
One of the highlights of our backstage trip was getting to be there during their sound checks. It was like having a little 15 minute concert all to ourselves. In a stadium that seats over 20,000, there was Jon, me, and 2 friends of Matt and the security guards, listening to them going over their songs. It was surreal. Jon said, “Mom, pinch me! Is this really happening?”
Been Under a Rock for the Past Year?
Idol? What’s this Idol thing I am blogging about? No worries. The entire season is summed up nicely in this gif of the last bubbletweet:

HH bringing the fierce, HP being super bottom, matt trying to get attention, anoop getting ignored, manservant holding down the fort, scott being weird as shit, and gokey trying to get some lamkey love…yup idol season summary right there. Just for you, JC!
It’s A Bubbletweet with Matt G
But he doesn’t sing the bubbletweet song! LMAO. Sounds like the Idols are going out to dinner tonight. Hopefully they’re all feeling better.
