I think Adam was a little emotional as well! He just put his whole performancepersonship in this song and I even thought I saw some glistering in the corner of his eyes at the end of the song. So sweet! You go Adam!
And people wonder why we love this man — talk about an emotional connection.

It did look like Ellen was emotional at the end when she would not let the hug end. I teared up watching this (while thinking about all the AMA backlash and watching sing the WWFM words) and I’m sure it was more powerful in person!
And Ellen being a proud powerful famous gay woman remembers what it was like in the beginning and empathizes with HH and is proud of him, but worries too (just like us fans).
i like ellen a lot. i saw a lot of her shows and she seems to really care when she says she cares. and i liked her atitude towards adam.

OMG! Just watched the interview and I am soooooooo glad that she just loves HH sooo much! Not in a fangirly squee sorta way (on TV), but she genuinely loves his voice and singing and performing style.
And she says what EVERYONE says when they meet him in person for the first time: That he is just so beautiful!
And Ellen genuinely loves HH as a person and really tried to portray to her audience that the AMA’s wasn’t the real HH. She agreed with HH that the AMA performance wasn’t good judgement, but hoped it didn’t hurt his career because he just so talented.
That was a really great interview! She has a large TV audience, so I’m really glad this whole appearance was perfectly awesome!
I’m sure with all the upcoming interviews (Babs, Kimmel, Conan, View), people will forget the controversy and remember his talent.

HH is amazing. Ellen’s interview with him was really good too – I’m a big Ellen fan as well, and she does seem to really connect and empathize with HH. Even though I wish he didn’t have to keep ’splaining himself, all these interviews show what a smart, sweet, and articulate person he is, which I think is a big positive for him in dealing with the AMA aftermath. I hope it’s not all getting him down too much. His performance was beautiful, and so was the hug with Ellen at the end. It’s nice to see HH still getting so much support, and I’m glad Ellen had him on the show.

Remember that HH only has had to explain himself on TV with the Early Show before this. Ellen is a much broader audience and many probably didn’t see the Early Show. Most people do not read/hear about HH 24/7 like us fans do.
In fact, no one (various ages and families) at my Thanksgiving dinner had watched the AMA performance nor had an opinion about it. But they all know who Adam Lambert is.
So HH, just like the Twilight actors who are doing their TV media blitz, have to repeat their stories over and over and make it sound fresh, because the audiences are generally different with each show.
I’m glad that he’s getting the exposure he deserves.

ELLEN IS A SWEETIE BUT I KINDA HATED THE OVERALL VIBE OF THIS INTERVIEW. IT JUST SMACKS OF BEING AN APOLOGY WITHOUT COMING OUT AND SAYING THE WORDS. I HOPE HE NEVER EVER APOLOGIZES BC….I HOPE HE STAYS TRUE TO HIMSELF AND JUST ROCKS IT OUT AND NEVER COMPROMISES. NEVER GET BORING BB!
