I celebrataed Christmas with my son today because his dad just announced a couple days ago that he was picking my son up tonight [xmas eve] and keeping him for the whole week :( – its kind of hard to deal with being without him tomorrow at all. But at least we had some special moments tonight.
We went to church with my mom & my son literally NEVER sings because he is shy/embarrased so I was shocked when he started singing along with Silent Night [they turn all the lights off in the church so its only candles - it was nice] And he actually has good voice! I have a hard time staying on pitch but my son [he is 11 now] was right on pitch with it and not afraid to sing out loud anymore. it was a really special moment.
Then afterwards we were waiting for my mom outside of the church & my son wants us to sing more – like we were going carroling so we start singing Silent Night together. Then he gets bored with that and says “how about some non- xmas songs? Lets sing song Adam Lambert songs” lol so we start singing Whattya Want From Me together lol Then he starts singing Lady GaGa’s Bad Romance [because its my new ringtone for when my ex husband calls lol ] It gave me the idea of some kind of alternative Icelandia version of Christmas Carolling lol going door to door and singing HH & GaGa songs – sounds fun!
I like it! Can’t wait to see Grampa and Grandma’s faces when we show up singing about how we’re gonna “give it to ya till you’re screaming my name”!
