It was a full-frontal Glambgasm, in the style of his slutty David Bowie medley on last summer’s Idol tour, moving his hips like six kinds of yeah and moaning “Can you handle what I’m ‘bout to do?” Now that’s Glambertainment!
It’s already hard to remember what the world was like before Adam Lambert showed up, less than a year ago — but we can be sure it was a colder, drearier, and less pervy place, and moments like this epitomize why we’re glad to have this lady-stardust guy in our lives. Don’t trip off his glitz, America!

Yea! Barbara and Whoopi and Joy were totally on HH’s side on the performance! Even Eliz was saying that it’s not HH’s responsbility to change his artistic performances if kids were watching, because that’s the parent’s responsbility!
Barbara mentioned several times that he’s on her Most Fascinating People show at 10pm on 12/9!! He already taped it!
If there were no pearl clutchers, it wouldn’t be as much fun.

I think “pearl clutchers” refers to ladies clutching at their pearl necklaces in horror about something that offends their sensibilities. I admit, though, the first couple times I came across it in comments I didn’t know what it meant, either! I like it, though – new word!

Adam is right that the double standard is alive and well. Both because Britney and Madonna shared a kiss onstage YEARS ago, and also because there would be a major blowout had he stuck his tongue down a female dancer’s throat without her ok first. There would be all kinds of discussion about the sexual politics of having to make out with your boss on stage in order to keep your job in the band. Clearly we haven’t figured out what to do with confident displays of male sexuality–gay OR straight. Good thing TommyJoe seems to have been ok with it–plenty of people would like to have been in his shoes. I’m all about adults doing whatever the hell they want as long as there is consent on both parts. Adam really has got people talking–mission accomplished!
