Most of the songs on the album are about breakups or troubled relationships. Why?
Yeah, it’s funny. When you write an album and you’re writing about relationships, the stuff that I’ve been through in my relationships, 99 percent of it is really good, but it’s that one percent that always inspires you to write a song. It’s easy to write a song about the hard times you’re going through. It’s harder to write a song about the good times. So that’s why some of those songs are about the hard times in a relationship.

There was alott angst in BNS too, probably stems from his “on again off again” relationship he’d had with
for over 7 years until they tied the knot.

But considering his relationship with HH has only been 1 year (less if you count the months it really was a “relationship”), then his relationship with HH compared to GF’s 7 years, is about the 1% that he’s talking about!
But he’s gotta have a “good” answer for the press, so good job, HP! Let HH give you a big ol’ hug!
Farah, I haven’t seen your take on this, I wonder if it matches mine? Because, actually, JC, what I hear is that once again HP passed up an opportunity to specifically mention his wife or their marriage, or their very long-term relationship.
Not that I really expect a songwriter to be specific about where a song comes from, I’m just saying that it’s odd that he NEVER mentions their relationship or marriage specifically.
He keeps it vague, because as your tag informs us, Twinks can’t lie.

Song writers write from the heart and HH is deep within HP’s heart…what’s a good christian/100% straight married man sposed to do? HP needed a safe outlet to express his feelings.
