Lushes is playing at the Indianapolis LGBT Film Festival this Saturday Nov 14. There’s a panel discussion from 3-3:30pm with Ash Christian and Nick Sweet, then Lushes will play in the group of short films from 3-5pm,

‘A tale chronicling the lives of wannabe drag queens with Hollywood dreams and the characters around them, Lushes is a hysterical view of Americas favorite sanctuary the bar. As Cork & Desi, two of Tinseltown’s most ‘Transtastic’ transplants, start trying to make a name for themselves in the booze-filled world of west coast drag queens, they encounter Hollywood’s #1, Basil, their arch-nemesis. He viciously attempts to sabotage their friendship but they foil his plan while realizing they are truly meant to be best friends forever and come together to create the most talked about drag number the Valley has ever seen.’

the movie has been shown at some festivals already and Cheeks has garnered some pretty rave reviews for his role as Basil – some said he stole the film from the main two characters :). so if anyone has the opportunity to see it – or promote in your local area to have it shown – please do!
