Meg and I had a listening party over IM that I posted in the 
but I just wanted to give a quick shout-out to my personal faves based on these (admittedly short) snippets:
SOAKED: I am a HUGE Muse fan and based on that alone I knew I would love it. From the minute I had first heard Adam I had thought the closest modern singer comparable to him was Matt Bellamy, so this for me in perfection. I think this should be the second or third single and will be his big ballad.
STRUT: This shit is my jam. I love it. I love the beat. I love the Strokes-ian guitar riff in the middle. UNF. Love it.
SLEEPWALKER: Yay for Aimee Mayo! After all her enthusiam, I’m thrilled to say that I think I’m going to love her song. I really like the doubled voices. It sounds like it could be kinda dark and I adore the chanting.
FEVER: he manages to capture the Gaga sound while making it very much his own. It’s fun and sexy and retro. Love it.

I have listened about a dozen times and those songs are like sex, I just want more, one more time, and then one more time. I thought I had favorites, and the longer I listen the more they are all my favorites. I want more, more. This waiting is worse than pregnancy when you are waiting for birth.

Oh JC you invaded my mind exactly I am also a huge muse fan, have been for years and think Mathew Bellamy is a musical genius and HH was sure up to the task. I think maybe his voice is even better. I like your serious side, but like you nutty side also.

Strut and Sure Fire Winners are amazing. I can not wait for this album. CAN. NOT. WAIT.
I’m liking Soaked and Broken Open most of all these snippets so far. Didn’t hear anything I hated, which is a good sign. Of the dance tracks, I liked Strut the most.
Now if iTunes could just get their act together and put FYE on there so people can download it!
(Meanwhile, bb Kris’ album is climbing the iTunes chart — #53 overall, #15 pop, less than 12 hours since it was made available for pre-order)
My favorites are ‘Soaked’, ‘Loaded Smile’, and ‘Aftermath’ based on the tidbits I’ve heard. The version by Muse lacks depth for me. Adam really brings out his version of ‘Soaked’.
I agree with Madeleine, iTunes needs to get their act together. I have trouble downloading from any other site than iTunes and they are behind the times when it comes to Adam. Does Adam get a better cut if we buy from the AO site? If so, I’ll try to figure out how to download.
I just re-read Irish’ post and saw that ‘Strut’ refers to anal sex. I would hope that Adam’s choice of songs does not take us to a place we really don’t want to go. Rough sex in FYE, anal sex in ‘Strut’, and a remembrance of a post GossipCandy had on only for a short time from a past lover of Adam’s describing an encounter with Adam and it sounded animalistic, make me wonder where he really is trying to take us. I have followed every possible link available on Adam since February and just lately I’m beginning to get concerned. Hope it’s just an irrational feeling. I am a counselor and I’ve heard it all and some of this is sounding darker and darker.
Watching him go down really hard several times while holding the rail during WLL at the Manchester concert is an act that would tear most people up (not wanting to get real graphic).

I find myself wishing that his album was titled “Music Again”, and that the song was his first single. I love it!!! It so perfectly sums up what Adam did for me…made me want to listen to music again.

I would not worry to much about the sexual nature of his songs. He is a very sexual guy, that is part of why we love him so much. When I listen to FYE I take it as how he is going to be as a performer. Are we the fans ready for the awesomness he is going to display. I am liking the wild ride myself. As far as Stut he said it was about self impowerment so I am not quite sure where the anal sex reference comes from. Maybe I need the whole song.

As far as the sexual nature of these songs, well it is totally what I expected. Come on people. We have known all year that Adam is a very sensual, sexy man. Lets face it. Sex just oozes out of his pores. It is one of the things we love about him, right? And there are other sides to Adam Lambert. And all of his sides are loveable. I think the overwhelming majority of you will agree.
I think Freddie would be hugging HH right now! I can hear him being channeled in a few of the songs.
Didn’t HH have a hand in writing Aftermath, too? Very, very tinhatty.
Ok, so I’m a counselor, too, and I just….why would…..what the actual fuck? There’s no way to really know what goes on is someone’s head, period. Nevermind trying to form any kind of real analysis from their media persona. However, having said that, from everything I’ve seen and heard of Adam, he seems to be one of the most well adjusted people/celebrities I’ve ever seen. He’s comfortable in his own skin. He embraces his sexuality and is not afraid of it. Which is what I think he’s trying to encourage, no matter what one’s kinks may be. And more power to him. Sex IS “animalistic” by its very nature. That does not make it “dark.” It becomes dark when one forces one’s own personal hangups upon it rather than just enjoying it for what it is.
Now, besides all that, I realize it probably “ain’t that deep, man!”

Help. I am getting in so much trouble on these websites. Do I need to apologize for writing ANAL SEX. If someone was offended, I am sorry. It was really in response to a post I had read that indicated kiddingly that Strut was like Anal Sex. I responded that I would go listen and see if that was true.
