I freakin’ love the whole album. Kris sounds absolutely fantastic. And I Need to Know??? OMG, how raw is that vocal? And I have to say anyone who thinks Kris isn’t in love with Katy really needs to listen to Red Guitar, because the love comes clearly through. (I love Kradam, but still…)
Ok so I just listened to Heartless…and I’m sorry to say I HATE the intro..the rest of the song is HOT but the intro is tooooooo low!

OMG! Just finished listening to the whole CD. It is difficult to find the words to express how I feel. I love the whole CD!!! F**king Fantastic!!!! HP pours every ounce of his heart and soul into these songs. The emotional angst is so evident. He wrote or co-wrote 9 of the 13 tracks (10 of 14 on the Walmart bonus CD) That is extremely impressive!!! Of course we have known all along that the boy is super talented and this CD more than proves it. Oh, this Heartless version was a surprise, a nice surprise.
I MIGHT HAVE JUST SWALLOWED MY MEDICINES AT THE MO AND I’M STARTING TO GET DIZZY BUT I MUST SAY THAT I LOVE THE FACT THAT KRIS SHOWS HIS SONGWRITING TALENT TO THE T. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I FEEL LIKE LISTENING TO JAMES MORRISON OR ADELE OR DAMIEN RICE OR EVEN JOHN MAYER, BUT HE HAS THIS CERTAIN EDGE THAT MAKES ME LOVE HIM. EASILY THIS DUDE HAS CONVINCED ME TO BUY HIS ALBUM.

One more thought…HP said when he wrote I Need to Know he was in NY and was in a “weird place mentally” (or something to that affect). You can really feel that struggle in this song. So much emotion…

I’m soooooo impressed!! For what it’s worth, here’s a breakdown of my impressions:
Before We Come Undone – very radio friendly. His voice is so smoooth!
Can’t Stay Away From You – I like the high notes he throws in there. This is a great tune.
The Truth – “The Elephant in the Room”.
Written All Over My Face – very radio friendly
Bring it Back – great ballad; he does these so well
Red Guitar – the guitar riffs remind me of old-style U2. Cool!
Is it Over – an angsty ballad
Let it Rain – loved it from the first line. It will be one of my favorites
Alright With Me – awesome beat, catchy tune. I love this song!
Lifetime – sounds great in his lower register.
I Need to Know – Holy SHIZZ!! His voice is so raw, like he ripped his chest open.
Overall, a fabulous album from HP! A couple of the ballads were just alright for me (for you) but there are a BUNCH of songs I love on here. Heartless I could have lived without. You are made of awesomesauce, HP!!

I love Bring it Back-Kinda of has a Coldplay/Fray feel to it. The album has far exceeded my expectations–and I feel that it’s right up my alley musically speaking. they could have gone for the bubble gum w/him easily but I am glad they gave him the chance to do what he wanted to do, cause it’s gonna be huge!!!! SO PROUD!!!!
Angsty/longing Kris is so sexy. This is like a
soundtrack. I Need To know is heartbreakingly beautiful – I want to give him a huggle.
“I Need to Know” is the song of a tortured soul. It can be nothing other than a plea to a higher power.
I very much like the new “Heartless”.

i’ve been listening to the album since this morning and i can’t get enough of it. fletchering and tinhatting aside, i am blown away by the quality of this. his lyrics, omg,his lyrics. for a man who isn’t usually very articulate and with so few words, he’s got such a way of conveying his feelings it’s amazing.
OMG!!!! You can hear the emotion in every song! I love HP’s little inflictions in the way he sings. It is what makes him stand out from all the other singer/songwriter/rockers.
It is just a beautiful thing, his first album.

Listened to it and loved it, ‘Need to know’ – wow! ‘Before we come undone’ is still my fav and ‘Cant stay away’ my least fav but hearing the whole versions made me like some of the songs a whole lot more than I thought I would. Verdict – No song I dislike just a couple I’m not that keen on, the rest I love. Heartless – didn’t like the beginning but enjoyed the rest.

i dont understand what cest is talking about O_o I saw tinhatness all over this album. Im listening to it now finnaly. The Truth is still my favorite – it just grabs me by the heart [especailly the way he says "avalanche". And of course I like "I Need to Known" - And the surprisingness of Bring it Back and Allright with me is refreshing. I didnt see those ones coming at all - a nice change of pace. I dont have much money so i was thinking of only buying HH's CD and holding off of HP's but after hearing it [SO much better than i imagined it!] I’m gonna have to but both CD’s immediately

They are Kradam and always will be Kradam. Nobody – wife or whoever, cannot take that love from them.
MamaAllen knows about Kradam and is torn also. She loves them all and wants what is best for her son and will let him decide. (See her Napa pic while HP is on the Mac. She is concerned!Mama.)

Back to the amzing beautiful album! Ok I’ll step away from my usual Naughty,Dirty Kris Allen thoughts for a moment to say just how PROUD I am of this man! Wipes Away Proud Mama Tears. The entire album is so touching and heartbreaking as well as heartwarming. Perfect Debut Album! …. I Need To Know …. His vocals, the emotion so fragile and so perfect.

on that note, i FLOOOOOOOOOVVVEEE this album. they cud’ve picked so many things for the single besides LLWD (not a fan of the song, too wordy, it’s a cover after he’s been doing covers for ages, the video makes me like it a little more tho, and does happen to be stuck in my head =/). i love how raw this album feels, like he poured himself into it. there’s a lot of tinhatty undertones (and huge overtones in certain songs *cough*INeedToKnow*cough*), and unstable relationship songs, but Red Guitar is all
Can’t Stay Away is so maroon 5-y, which is a very good thing. kinda like…Wake Up Call but just a diff topic and with kris allen flavor lolz.
Alright With Me is so awesome, it’s a nice change of pace, it’s a fun sing along/ clap along song. i was singing along after a while and i literally just heard it, that’s a good sign lolz.
i love the re-revamped Heartless, he cudn’t have worked his genius anymore with that song. i’m surprised Kanye is all cool about it (before it was just idol, now he’s actually selling this thing on his album, and kanye didn’t bitch? wuuuutt?? lmao) for the fact that he has jackass tendencies =/

So proud of BB HP, I always believed in him and will always do, & this album confirmed that I was right all along, he is such a sincere geniuine person, very intouch of his feelings, loves everyone & has nothing but goodness inside out, and above all an amazing talent and an incredible fresh voice, we are lucky to have someone as real in such a messed up industry. We are not entitled to his life & he doesn’t owe us anything, he -and HH- are two persons that made us very happy & we should always be thankful for that!!! We have to remember this all the time! otherwise we are in big trouble!!!!
