Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Author: I just wanted to take a moment to thank you guys for making this such a wonderful place. When I started this blog, I never thought I’d be where we are today. I’ve met (both online and in real life) some of the most wonderful, thoughtful people here and it really makes me feel good that we together have made this such a nice place to be. Here’s some of the things I’m thankful for in no particular order:
I’m thankful for the support you guys give to me and all the people I feature in my posts. That you guys feel my blog is worthy of following and commenting just makes me all warm and fuzzy.
I’m thankful for all the supportive moms here who have gay sons and daughters and who share their kind words. It’s moms like you that set a good example for other parents and show kids that they can find support from their parents.
I’m thankful for all the fletchering we do. Not because of what we find, but because it shows there are people out there who don’t just want to be spoonfed info. They want to research and dig and make up their OWN minds based on what they find. It seems like such a little thing, but these days, it’s just so easy to sit back and take what you are given. It’s nice to know there are people out there who want to think for themselves.
I’m thankful for the differences we all have here in Candyland. We’re all different ages, from different countries and backgrounds yet we all co-exist. We don’t always agree but for the most part we are respectful of other’s opinions and can have a healthy debate without it getting ugly. That’s rare for a blog/forum!
I’m sure there’s tons of other things I’m thankful for but I’ve got hair dye on my head at the moment so I’ll wrap it up. Lastly, I’m thankful for Adam Lambert and Kris Allen (real names = srs biz). Without them, we wouldn’t have met each other here in Candyland. Yes, we’re ridiculous. Yes, we’re obsessed. But who the fuck cares! We have a great thing here and I’m thankful every day for you guys!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of Candyland….I’ve met some really amazing people here and feel truly blessed. Adam and Kris have blessed my life with music again, their incredible talent and artistry, and their incredible connection. We are all here to learn and enlighten..they are truly a shining example of both.

Yes we are very thankful to have Found the Beautiful boys who united us, as different as we are round their love, as different as they are; But most of all we are thankful to have a person like you Candy who give us a forum to express this love, freely, without prejuidce or judgment. CANDY, thank you for creating this space for celebrating differences, creativity and freedom of expression. Such spaces are very rare and it often is tough to define and redefine them! Thanks also to all the others of the community of the obsessed who keep this place so interesting and fierce! Dear Candy and all of Icelandia – THANK YOU AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
This past year has been the most difficult I have ever endured in my RL – this place, and the celebration of Adam, Kris, Kradam, and all the associated hoopla has gotten me through and given me more joy, giggles and a renewed sense of passion for life than I can convey. I’ve also slowly come out of my shell here (it’s hard to drop the professional facade) and interact with all of you.
I’ve occasionally checked out the idol forums, official sites and other places – and there is just so much discord and nastiness I quickly come back here.

Thanks to: Candy for creating a wonderful place to indulge my Adam/Kradam obsessions, to all the creative and funny people who spend time here, and to Adam Lambert for bringing me, via Google, to this place. It’s been a blast these past several months!
Thanksgiving is my favorite day of the year! I have just gone back to work as a medical social worker, and I deal with a lot of suffering, poverty and illness on a daily basis. Coming home and escaping into Candyland for a while helps me not bring all of that stuff home. Hanging out for a while in a simpler, happier place helps keep it all in perspective and help me recharge my batteries so I can gear up emotionally for the next day’s challenges. Thanks for being there. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

I am deeply grateful for your level headed moderation of this site. You create the space for everyone here to be authentic, a true and rare gift.
This place, and a relationship between two men, have radically changed my life. It’s remarkable how seemingly random experiences can spark transformation. But then, there are no accidents.

Thank you so much, you’ve provided me with more giggles and squees than I could possibly have asked for and you and everybody in Icelandia helped me through the death of a friend, Kelsey, and even though our amusement is based on ridiculous silly stories and things we notice (which I love) it’s so wonderful to know that you guys are truly kind and good people, and not internet creepers. It makes me really happy to have found a safe haven where miraculously i agree with 99.99% of everything, actually more like 100% I just did that to be safe. Thank you so much for this blog and the happiness it has brought me, and thank you so much to everybody else on here who doesn’t try to spoil it.
