Step 2. Take the portion of your bangs that you want to be raised and combed back for the puffed up part of the pompadour. Keep this portion pulled out, and pull the rest of your hair back with an elastic band.

Step 3. Create your hairline between the front hair you have pulled out and the rest of the hair. Take a 1-inch section of the hair you have pulled out and comb it back using a fine-toothed comb. Continue combing each section, and push them up into a clump or poof of hair.

Step 4. Use a bristle brush to make you bangs look swooped back. Use a hairpin to hold the swoop in place. The front of your hair will now have a bump of puffed up hair, which is the pompadour.

Step 5Style the remaining back portions of your hair by taking out the elastic band and making a small ponytail. Use a medium-hold finishing spray to style your hair and keep it in place.
