I’m very, very disappointed!As a professional ,reasonably wealthy consumer who follows Adam Lambert , I find it very sad that ABC have taken this action.
Perhaps Adam needs to look to the interntional market , rather than the USA .
I agree I’ll do that too. But I also think that it is important to tell ABC what jerks they are. Seriously.

If they thought the 1500 complaints they received after Adam’s AMA performance was a lot, then they are going to be shocked by all the complaints they get because of this. Adam fans are going to attack :P

huffpost has the same statement as NY Times article, “Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.” Un-effing-believable! I complained to ABC, sent love to CBS, tweeted to help trend this, facebooked. What else can we do?

ABC should have known how riled up Adam fans would be. ABC just shot themselves in the ass. Only time will tell, but their ratings will probably fall sharply. How stupid does ABC think we are???? They will feel it when it comes to the almighty bottom line!

I am genuinely shocked. I was at the AMA’s. I was in the audience. The performance was electrifying (and sounded much better in the room than what got broadcast). The crowd was on their feet through the whole thing. Yes – there was a HUGE shock & awe factor – but GMA pulling the plug is ludicrous. If there were any possible way for me to get to New York in time – I would go to CBS just to show my support – even if I couldn’t get into the show – just to stand outside and make it clear they are doing the right thing.
The fricken network was pimping him all night during the AMA broadcast and pushing his performance as the big shocker of the evening – they got EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE BEGGING FOR!!!

I have just sent a thank you note to CBS and a note of disappointment to ABC. I just wanted to make sure that there wasn’t a legitimate reason for the cancellation before sending a complaint.

I’ve called ABC, emailed CBS and voted at Huffington — although, the vote on Huffington is affirming that ABC made the correct decision. I’m so pissed off.

I didn’t realize that the CBS morning show had picked him up — I thought it was Letterman! God, I hope the street is PACKED — I wish I wasn’t so far away. I’m calling GMA again! The calling directions work perfectly.

And HH just said he didn’t want to make the change of morning show a big deal. Admited that the AMA perf did get a little sexual, but didn’t realize that it was going to big deal.
Couldn’t remember what Barbara Walters asked him.
Heart – SO much to report! Being at the AMA’s was unbelievable. The sound in the room was much better than what you got on TV. Adam’s performance sounded great – not perfect – but much better than the broadcast version.
The feeling in the room was ELECTRIC. The crowd was on their feet through the whole thing. The boys-on-leashes seemed to get some applause (maybe it was just me) and it felt like he had the audience with him. When the simulated BJ happened – there was a collective gasp – the energy in the room just went WTF! Did we just see that!?! (Some with GLEE some with Horror I guess).
I think everyone was still trying to catch up to where he was taking us when he took the tumble. From the perspective of the live performance, he handled it so well it was not an obvious mistake. I wasn’t even sure it was a fall until re-watching the video later.
When he tongued Tommy it was total Shock & Awe in the room. Unlike what was aired on TV, they did not cut away – all the huge screens in the room stayed on the close-up of them kissing. I don’t know how Tommy managed to go back to playing – boy deserves some serious cred for managing to take that in stride.
You could tell Adam was just really pumped on adrenaline (especially from the fall on) and there was a just-barely-out-of-control feeling to the whole thing. I think most of the crowd was right there too – the adrenaline in the room was crazy (again…maybe it was just me, but I don’t think so. I don’t think I took a breath from the BJ till the end).
OTT? Sure. But that’s what EVERYONE, including the network that was pimping him all night, was looking for. If the execution got a little rough, the message was clear and unapologetic; I’m here, I’m queer, I’m going to sing my face off (gay enough for you, OUT?).
The man is a phenomenal, ferocious talent – and THAT will be the punctuation at the end of the sentence when all the digital-ink is done spilling over this HOOPLA. He took the breath away from the collective audience in the room. It was totally Rock & Roll and the most authentic energy up on that stage all night (with the possible exception of Ga Ga). That performance was in-the-moment anarchy of the best kind. Finally – something interesting happening in pop culture. THANK YOU ADAM.

When Ryan asked HH if he would’ve done the same thing on AI that he did on the AMA show with Kris Allen, HH said that he didn’t think HP would’ve wanted him to do those things to him.
