1500 Viewer Complaints for Adam’s Performance

ABC, which aired the awards show, received calls from approximately 1,500 people complaining about the performance, according to The Associated Press. The number of complaints was by no means extraordinary, ABC stated, calling the response “moderate.”

I’m still not sure why they muted the audio during the mock b/j. the line is “give it to you till you’re screaming my name” what’s there to block out of that?
Only 1500 ? If the number does not go up will be OK.
I have a cousin who works for the government at the FCC. Over 15,000 complaints were made about the performance last night, and from what she said that was just online complaints. They don’t know how many phonecalls yet, but it doesn’t look good. I don’t understand why he had to be so raunchy. Not a very good move. Maybe if he were more established, but I’m afraid he may have just shot his career in the foot.
I see no grounds for complaints, whatsoever! There was no nudity, no bad language, just implied situations with visualimagery. Plus, it aired at almost 11:00 which is outside the family hour.
Really alicia? You should check your facts, right now the Deluxe album is at #6 on itunes and the regular album is at #8.
That’s pretty damn good, I think our boy will be ok. He knows what he is doing.
Alicia – wow, that’s quite dramatic. as IF someone as talented and epic as Adam can shoot himself in the foot for what? kissing someone? didn’t he already LICK a female in a magazine? did he shoot his foot then, too? they said the same thing about Madonna when she burned the crosses in her Like a Prayer video (MY parents were pretty upset, worried that I shouldn’t be listening to her! That didn’t stop ANYbody!)…and don’t forget SHE kissed Britney-ACK (pardon me..Hairball!) AND Christina at one of these shows…and she’s STILL an epic icon.?.? your suggestion is invalid.
Okay, is it 1,500 or 15,000? I just think the negative comments are being focused on right now to stir up even more shit. Thank goodness, I’ve read a ton of postive comments in support of Adam.
I wonder how many complaints were filed against Shakira and her army of crotch thrusters. Oh, and M&M (I like the candy name) has never been scorned behind any of the shit he’s done. He came out of the gate with drama. Hell, he wrote and peformed a song about killing his exwife, the mother of his child, that hasn’t stopped him from winning awards or being invited to perform on these type of show. So, I don’t think this one performance will kill Adam’s career. Everyone (lovers & haters) will be tuned in to see what he does next…then, they’ll be hooked on him…again.
Were the complaints about the sound of his voice not being loud enough over the music? That’s my only comment.
apart from Madonna,Britney ,Christina and Shakira immediately spring to mind, not to mention Einem and Dido with the domestic violence issue
