The “Kradam Krisis” at AO continues. Even after RCA posted and basically told people to chill out, some people over there just can’t let it die. Why they are so threatened by having a Kradam area – I don’t know. And why they are devoting so much time and effort requesting a name change when all they have to do is simply ignore that section if it bothers them, I don’t know. And people wonder why people have a bad impression of “glamberts”. They honestly just don’t get it. I’m going to post this comment in its entirety. This is 1 (!) comment from here on AO.
Dear RMG ED:
In my initial post here a few days ago, I had responded with a small dose of sarcasm, more as a reaction to the tone of your response rather than its content. Now that I’ve had some time to consider all that you’ve said, however, I wanted to come back and respectfully ask for clarification of several statements you’ve made, as I believe they are somewhat misleading, and do not adequately address our proposal for changing the forum title. I am not trying to be a ’smart-ass’, nor do I mean to get banned from this site. As the originator of the petition, I simply want an opportunity to further clarify and defend the petition’s intent, so as not to allow misconceptions to perpetuate unanswered, and also so I can better understand the meaning behind some of the statements you’ve made here.I have questions regarding the following statements:
First, you said: “We’ve received the petition and appreciate the effort that went into it, but not much else. Negativity is negativity, guys, no matter how you window-dress it.” >>> I can understand if you disagreed with the petition’s request and/or the reasons given, but I wanted to better understand why you felt it was so negative, as a lot of thought and consideration was put forth to define our request and reasons for submitting it in a manner that was not negative, or mean-spirited, or derogatory. For example, did you find the request to change the forum title in general to be negative? Or, was it our approach of collecting signatures and submitting a petition that was negative, e.g. is there a policy or rule against the action of raising a petition that we needed to be aware of that would have deemed it negative? Or, did you find some of the reasons that were cited for the forum title change to be unreasonably negative? For ease of reference, the reasons we had submitted for changing the forum title were as follows (abbreviated slightly in the interest of saving space):
(1) Kradam has been and continues to be a divisive issue on AO. Changing the name of the forum to ‘Adam on Idol’ is a means of further bridging the divide.
(2) By featuring ‘Kradam’ prominently as one of the main forums, new members who are not familiar with ‘Kradam’ but have joined AO to celebrate Adam as a solo-artist may be confused by the term and potentiall turned-off by the strong association with Kris Allen that ‘Kradam’ implies.
(3) By prominently including ‘Kradam Discussion’ in the forum title, the primary focus and emphasis is placed on ‘Kradam’, instead of on Adam and his idol experience as a whole, which is where the focus should be.
(4) By creating a Kradam forum, a precedent has been set for creating other forums that focus on other Idol contestants, such as Adison, Kradison, Lambkey, Mattbert, Adanoop, Adacheal, Megadam, Scottbert, Lil-Lamb, etc. Kradam does not belong on AO as a separate forum in and of itself, any more than these other name combinations.
(5) A separate forum entitled/dedicated to ‘Kradam’ has the effect of creating a ‘fan site within a fan site’.Second: “… the number of petitioners (170) pales in comparison to the number of Kradam fans” >>> How was this conclusion derived? Are you basing it on the number of members who have actively posted pro-Kradam threads and comments in the Kradam forum, for example?
Third: “Adam fully endorses this forum, so you’re just contradicting his wishes by attacking it and those who choose to post here.” >>> Can you help me to better understand how we were we attacking the forum and those who choose to post here by requesting a title change from ‘Kradam discussion/Adam on Idol’ to ‘Adam on Idol’ for the reasons outlined above? Or, do you feel the reasons that were outlined were made in a way that was overly aggressive, mean-spirited, or derogatory, etc. to be likened to an ‘attack’? And when you say Adam ‘fully endorses this forum’ what is meant by it? Are you saying that Adam endorses a forum where Kradam-related topics can be posted and discussed along with other Idol-related topics, or are you saying that he endorses a forum that is specifically dedicated to ‘Kradam’ and must be preserved as such by retaining Kradam in the title? If Adam is endorsing a ‘Kradam’ forum, then why does the forum description say ‘Everything about his idol experience’ and not, something like, ‘Everything about Kradam’? Furthermore, if Adam instead endorses a forum that is dedicated to his idol experience as a whole, of which Kradam is one part, then why has Kradam been singled out and featured so prominently in this manner? Why is Kradam deemed to be so much more important than Adison, for example, or other aspects of Adam’s idol experience? I don’t ask these questions lightly. As a fan, I am keenly and sincerely interested in understanding and honoring what Adam wants, but I want to be certain I understand what you are representing with respect to Adam’s wishes and would greatly appreciate further clarification.
Fourth: “The forum is not going away, so if you’re not a Kradam fan, take a hike…” >>> The petition never asked to remove the forum, so by saying it is ‘not going away’, you are not addressing the request/proposal as specifically defined in the petition. Again, the members who signed the petition did so with the clear understanding that the purpose of the petition was NOT to make the forum go away. It was a request to change the title for the reasons already outlined above.
Finally, you’ve stated, “We don’t expect you guys to behave like boy and girl scouts – quite the contrary! We like you just as passionate and creative as you are – so long as it’s in the spirit of positivity, tolerance, and constructive criticism and debate.” It’s true that all of us here are quite passionate, and not all of our dicsussion around the ‘Kradam’ issue (from all sides) have been the most positive, tolerant or constructive. I would also argue that your responses here would fall under that category as well. The fact, remains, however, that the ‘Kradam’ issue is still a sensitive one that continues to divide Adam’s fans, and the petition was not a bunch of ‘nonsense’ (as you’ve put it), but a well-intended request to remove ‘Kradam’ from the forum title in a sincere effort to further bridge this divide.
In retrospect, perhaps the proposal put forth was too stringent, too limiting. For example, as also noted in the petition, other alternate titles were suggested by members, such as ”Adam’s Friends and Family’, ‘Adam’s Friends’, ‘Adam and Friends’, ‘Adam’s Circle’ etc. to be added as a separate forum altogether in addition to ‘Adam on Idol’, or as some have suggested, to be the replacement title for ‘Kradam discussion/Adam on Idol’. This would provide a forum where discussions regarding all of Adam’s friends and family can be posted, not just Kradam – friends and family who are not necessarily associated with Adam’s idol experience or the Idol brand. This suggestion is not without merit and was highlighted in the petition for your consideration as well.
In sum, the Kradam controversy has not gone away, and now that a more open and transparent dialogue has finally begun between members and Sony/RCA, perhaps you and/or the team of future moderators can further facilitate a compromise that would better satisfy members as a whole from all sides of the issue.
I greatly appreciate any clarifications or insights you can offer to help me and the others who supported the petition to better understand the statements you’ve made above. Thank you again for your time and consideration.

Yes, Kradam is Real…Kradam is Love. These “fans” who profess love for Adam disrespect his love and friendship for Kris, his BFF. According to what I read, Adam himself has approved the Kradam forum…and they want to negate that? Fans, not. I can’t wait for them to implode! Bring it on, boys….

Um…. way to totally miss the special connection HH and HP share which far surpasses any other combination of idols this season (or any season, for that matter). Tinhat and goggles aside, there is no question that these two men love each other and respect each other; they’ve not only talked about it in interviews, they’ve actually made a point of saying they want to be an example for others of how people can be different and still love each other. And yet these so-called Adam supporters are doing their darndest to get Kris out of the picture.

Kradam Discussion/Adam on Idol – Everything about his idol experience :
The only person who has truely and completely shared the IDOL EXPERIENCE with Adam is Kris, and no one else. Sure Adam’s friends with the other idol (esp Alison) but Kradam, these guys shared every moment – from being in the Group (B), to being room mates, then sharing a bathroom after Top 05, being in the finale together… their families love and support each other…
I mean, Everything about Adam’s idol experience is one way or the other connected to Kris. How does one seperate one from the other when you talk about this Season.
I love how Lyndsey in her interview with Kris had said “Adam & Kri – Sorry you’re Kris, I meant Adam and Allison…”

I don’t understand how people can say they are fans of Adam and not see the love he has for Kris and not respect his wishes of spreading love not hate. I love that Adam and Kris are showing the world by deed not just by mouth how two people who are so vastly different from each other can and do love and respect each other and have a real friendship. This petition organizer’s rabid logic is exactly why we all need to post on Adam and Kris’ sites in the Kradam threads. 19/RCA/Sony needs to see us plow through the resistance to show our love and support.

Some Adam fans are just so ridiculous its not even funny. They do realize that these kinds of actions and words only hurt Adam’s image by portraying his fans as a bunch of nutjobs.
It’s really amazing to me that a person would write a 1300 word essay (yes, I had to check) about such a silly issue. WTAF? If you so strongly object to the name of a fan forum, step away from the computer and rejoin the real world, honey. First of all, Beth/ameryth74, thank you for reposting that gif of what I have come to think of as the best.hug.ever. Srsly.
I think this person is missing is that Kradam is not your average ship (I feel like I’m channeling Yogi Bear here…). Like Heather said, the RL love and respect they have for each other, and the example they set, is what sets Kradam apart.
The impression I get from Adam’s interviews and other public comments is one of thoughtful and conscious positivity, love and inclusion. He’s sort of a modern day glam hippy in a way. Then here are these fans(?) wanting to dissociate Kradam from Adam, or at least hide it away like it’s something to be ashamed of.
I don’t think it’s worth getting all stirred up and angry about. I do think it’s silly and I find it somewhat confusing that having a Kradam area on AO is so controversial. I mean, there’s a fanfic thread/page. C’mon. At least Kradam is real (romantic or platonic? You decide, lol).
Then again, a lot of people do a lot of things that just don’t make sense to me…
This “fan” does not see Adam for the whole person that he is, but rather wants to be able to dictate who Adam is to his/her liking. This fan should be isolated and not allowed to control any aspect of the official Adam Lambert website.
Adam often expressed how meaningful it was to him that he and Kris made it to the finale together. Their relationship, even simply in terms of the Idol experience, was unlike their relationships with other idols or past friendships.
If Adam supports a Kradam thread, there should be NO FURTHER DISCUSSION and this fan should be silenced.
Enough said.

How long did it take for that person to write that? Amazing what small minded people will take on as a crusade! Not to burst anyone’s bubble, here, but I take all the sexual implications between Adam and Kris as just sheer imagination. I think they are 2 people who enjoyed each other, and shared the trenches – which creates a strong strong bond between people. But the thought of 2 such good men (each in their own way) simply NOT give a rat’s ass about what people think and build a deep true friendship is in itself about as sexy as could be. Touches me more than the graphic aspects of fanfic. So, maybe some of us here define Kradam a bit differently, but for me: Kradam forever!!!

. But I think every one of us here recognizes the great friendship these guys have and can’t fathom why these AO people feel the need to petition when it seems Adam himself supports the Kradam area. And BTW, notice we haven’t heard any similar stories from KrisOfficial and they have a Kradam area now too!
Tracks of my tears- Ford- after the Tour – Kradam is real , and I’m so very, very happy for both of them, and so very,very grateful that they give me so much pleasure from their music, beauty and relationship. It is 2009 , people! Enjoy life ! It’s a precious gift , so don’t waste it by trashing other people!

I just read some of the posts over at AO.
Why don’t they get that these two talented, gracious, insipring men are best friends?… and that a great deal of us are inspired by their friendship and love them both the more for it – 2 people from seemingly conflicting backgrounds who have found a way to make it work – and work well. Unlike some at AO.
What worries me most about all this is that there evidently are a core of “fans” who seem to live and breathe Adam every second of every day and have nothing in their lives apart from staring at a screen waiting. What makes these people feel that they are entitled to negate what SO many other Adam fans celebrate? A wonderful, special friendship.
I actually feel sad for them.
Interestingly enough, I see it is one of the Lambrits who got herself banned (then reinstated) for being heavily involved in the whole petition fiasco in AO. Am I surprised by that? No.
I’ve also heard (and it is a rumour) that some on AO are trying to “book” Adam for a private party – including some of those involved in the petition thing.
Surely a private party (and I have heard rumour of people allegedly to be charged $1000 to attend)such as this is even MORE devisive than a bloody Kradam forum???
Sheesh… people just need to start acting their age really.

The way I view it (and it is after all, only one person’s opinion that I’m expressing here, so please….don’t attack me like rabid monkeys!) Adam and Kris are friends, yes. No one’s going to “hate” on you, but if Adam himself is allowing the thread to be there, why petition for a name change? It’s 1 area out of many over there. If RCA/Adam/TPTB have put it up there, why fight it so much?
My take on this is:
1) All these old Kradam Nazis with too much time on their hands need a dildo and a job at Walmart (or anywhere else where they hire old prunes. They must be old, who else has so much extra time on their hands?)
and more importantly
2) We should not avert our eyes and quietly concede AO to a few haters. I think we all should go over there and post a short “Love and support Kradam” – that’s because I think that Adam deserves to know that the silent majority is quite sane and does support and love Kradam, plus I think all this hatred reflects negatively on Adam. The notion that Adam has only crazy fans needs to be nipped in the butt.
BTW, the thread with the above post has been moved to off topic. Let’s take the wind out of the Kradam hating sails and shut these few people up once and for all.

it’s not good but i’m managing. His leg tumors keep popping out and bleeding all over the place. I’m wrapping up his leg with gauze bandages and that sticky wrap that holds it in place. I’m afraid to go to the vet because the last time they said there wasn’t anything they could do and he’s still eating and jumping and stuff so I’m worried if I take him they’ll want to put him down. I’m not sure how close we are to that point yet…but I know it’s coming and that’s made me pretty sad this weekend. But he’s hobbling around ok for the moment.

I think they’re afraid of the truth. The truth being that Kris and Adam are attracted to one another. They are. But Kris is married, christian, and supposedly straight. I do think that he does love his wife. So, what are they supposed to do. They also have their careers to think of. So, I live as the hopeless romantic that gets by with my imagination. And you know what, I think they do too. I would love to have just a Kradam forum on AO. I have even suggested this myself. Even a private one with private registration. Not everyone could get in. I think eventually this will come about. I hope so.
