Am I the only one who thinks Kris is too good to be true? I mean he’s open-minded and nice and married and christian, but not in an annoying way like most Christians (Gokey and Sarver), trying to turn everybody into their own images. I mean, can Kris really be real? Isn’t he just too damn perfect to exist?
I identify much more with Adam, who does crazy things and talks too much and sometimes feels ugly and weird. I’m not gay, but sometimes I seriously wish I were. My life has been a constant fight to get comfortable in my own skin.
They say Kris is the boy next door. My question is: really? Who has ever had such an attractive honest to God nice non judgemental guy as a neighbor?
I thought that article was amazing! I have been an Adam fan since Hollywood week and I really didn’t think it was possible to like him more, but after reading that I do. He is so down to earth and seems like a really genuine guy.

It was fate that brought Kradam together. I’m not sure Adam would have enjoyed Idol as much without Kris or Allison. Allison he can easily categorize as little sis but Kris is kind of like best friend/boy friend/soul mate all rolled into one Hot Pocket (idol).

I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO loved it! every single sentence of it. my only complaint – it was too short. I’ve read people complaining how there is not enough about his music – come on, he was the one contestant who for the whole season talked about his musical influences and inspirations in great detail and with much gusto. The RS article was supposed to be about him, about all the things he thinks define him as a person and it did just that. I love how he dished out all the dirt about his experiences that could have possibly been dug up later on. smart pr move. but it was not just that – he honestly talked about things that touched him and changed him and made no bones about it. he’s making himself so vulnerable but at the same time that’s where his strength comes from – knowing who he is and fitting nicely not only into his jeans, but into his soul. it was fresh, liberating, exciting, real and totally what I’d want from a role model.
Yes i really liked it too. I wish they had used more of the pics they took but I’m sure they’ll put them out eventually!

Kris may seem too good to be true…but he is exactly what a Christian is supposed to be. Loving, non-judgmental, kind…it almost seems he and Adam were put together in a room for a reason (no, not THAT one, lol!) I finally finished it. What a fabulous, warm, unabashed heart this man has. His parents and brother really must be as amazing as they seem.
I love that he alternates between ballsy foul-mouthed sex kitten and supportive big brother geek all in one paragraph.
I love his collaborative spirit and honesty and the pure joy he exudes that I’m sure must just wash over folks in his presence like the glitter we all share.
I love that he knows exactly how folks receive him and he’s self-aware and seems mentally prepared.
I was kind of worried that a straight woman was interviewing him. I’m not gonna lie. I think some of the freaky, sexually liberated stuff the comes with being a young queer in an urban environment may not be accessible to someone so far outside of that setting but the author really seemed to do her homework (though she missed a couple things I can’t put my finger on right now)
There is going to be some SERIOUS BACKLASH but better now than later. Get it over with then reheares for the tour for a month. It was a very, very smart thing to do have this story come out now, before the tour.
I wonder if Adam talked to Kris about it before it came out or while he was being interviewed? I’d love to hear THAT conversation
Now “America” can know exactly who Adam is and take him or leave him with no pretense. He can focus on making amazing music and entertaining the FUCK OUT OF US til I’m old and shimmering on my walker!
His observations about Allison are so spot on and I’m sure it must have been such a god send to have him there with her.
I just hope the other Top 10 and his fans don’t punk out and will continue to show him lots of love and support because he’s going to need it BIG TIME once all the press starts sound biting this article to death and the “Christians” and Fox News get after him.

Wow…Kara had him pegged…he’s confusing and sleazy and we like him!!…make that LOVE him!!His amazing performances aside, I’ve been awed at this fine young mans character..his ability to accept raving compliments with humility and class and rude criticism with humor and self confidence. He is so mature and wise for his years…this article explains so much of that maturity. He has courageously experienced so much for his 27 years and wisely surrounded himself with people who recognized and encouraged his talent. What luck that the stork dropped him at the Lamberts door, as it would have been a travesty indeed had the world been robbed of this charming, witty, Herculean talent by parents who would have closeted and stiffled Adam’s uniqueness. He is so deserving of the tsunami of fame and fortune about to wash over him. Hoping he stays strong, wise and funny…in pink or blue jammies…no matter!!
It’s kind of ridiculous how giddy I am over this interview. Especially considering I was reading it and then being giddy about it while in class. I am sure my criminal law professor (and German civil law professor) were a little troubled by my grinning during the lecture.

Awesome, awesome read. He’s so genuine, sharp, chill, fun, funny, endearingly cheeky, candid and he has already had such a colourful path – good and bad experiences, that’s life. The parts about his parents were really touching, they seem like such f-n GREAT people and when Adam said his greatest fear is losing his parents, man you can tell they’re the ones who keep him grounded and the only ones who truly matter. NO DOUBT the media will lift the drug and gay parts and start smear campaigns to try and murder his career for the sake of sales, hits and gossip before his career has even started. I hope Adam remains nonchalant and not giving a fcuk about the morons.

Thanks for posting the RS article :). I appreciate Adam for his honesty but he really didn’t have to divulge all this info about his sexuality. We already knew he was gay (DUH) and so what? We still love him. I feel like he was pressured into doing it because of all the bloodthirsty media vultures who would’ve had a field day making something up about him and masquerading it as fact. Thanks alot, thats a really sexy interview and I never thought I’d know so much about him, he’s really deep and probably I kinda wish I was a journalist and I could meet tons of cool people like him. Definitely the most interesting thing I’ve read recently.
This article certainly meant a lot to me. Being a young lesbian in a small community doesnt exactly offer you the greatest acceptance and support, but just hearing the touching, and hilarious shit that was eagerly spilled by adam in this interview gives gay people like me little glimpses of hope in a seemingly hopeless environment. I think that when adam was so non-censored with his words, it only showed how proud he is. I one day hope to reach that point, the “I dont give a flying fuck” stage where i can embrace my sexuality. I dont struggle as hard as some gay individuals, but fitting into the whole traditional oreintation isn’t something i will ever be. I am proud to be gay, and one day i’ll embrace it like you adam! whether or not you judge someone by their sexual oreination is very closely related to whether or not you are comfortable with your own.
So thank you once again adam, for just showing all us chicken shit homos that there is really nothing to be scared of.

If you did, you see that everyone here has been going to bookstores, grocery stores, drug stores, and bodegas anxiously trying to get it for the past 2 days, so yes, people will be buying the hard copy. In fact, many of us are buying several copies so we can ship them to the International fans who read here and don’t have Rolling Stone.
I know it’s a concern, but honestly, I think this is going to be one of RS’s best-selling issues. Ever. What other time did you have people calling Books-a-Million to see if Rolling Stone was in yet?
